Musician, COMPOSER & producer

BIO

Artist and producer Logan Wood brings hip-hop, trap and jazz-fusion to the Western Canadian underground scene. Previously with two self-released EPs, Logan has charted at university radio stations across his home province of Alberta. He later caught the attention of internet podcast Cups N Cakes who included his debut EP, The Notoriously Trivialized, in their Best EPs of 2018. With the release of his debut full-length mixtape Nottingham and Devon (Aug. 2020), Logan took a mature step in developing his discography. Notably, the tape charted nationally on the National Campus and Community radio hip-hop chart. Amidst other university chartings and interviews, the tape was also picked up by several blogs and curators.

Recently graduated from the Combined Program in Music and Computer Science at the University of Victoria, Logan aims to apply this music education in expanding his musical repertoire, including composition and production of ambient and movie sound tracks. Through his studio experience, Logan became accustomed to working in a professional setting - both individually and collaboratively - with hardware as well as software. Between working with bands, solo performers, and individual school and personal projects, Logan familiarized himself with Ableton, Reaper, Pro Tools, Dante Virtual Soundcard, Rednet remote controller software, a Buchla 200 synthesizer, an 8-track Millennia preamp, an Avid S3 control surface, amongst many other hardware and software tools and instruments.

In his latest release, Logan showcases creative and technical improvements from his previous projects, further polishing his production and refining his lyrics. Whether it be social commentary or anthemic party themes, Logan’s versatility and commitment to quality shine through above all else.
